The process of transforming an empty page into an image has been an obsession of mine for many years. That process has led me from drawing, to water color, to pastel, and at my wife’s insistence pen and ink.
This is a place to share works in progress and hopefully showcase the finished limited editions of my work.
So I'm thinking the birds are done.....gonna set it aside for awhile and come back later.
Av and I spent the day with Cezanne at the Philadelphia Art Museum, you really should see this exhibit, so I thought to myself........watercolor what could it hurt. A bit more to finish but here it is so far.
Well the water is in there, I'm not sure if it is done yet but I am sure that it is boring at this point so......got the sidewalk in position and it is time to get the pavement in place. I am toying with the idea of adding a discarded metro card in the vicinity of the water and doing it it watercolor......NYC cards are bright yellow with blue lettering and a mag strip on the front.
Well here is the next installment. It is interesting how the scale and proportion is changing as it develops. Still procrastinating about the water....but I guess that is what the sketch book is for
